Hi everyone,

Im sat at my laptop trying to transfer photo's taken today on my d90 into the 'nikon transfer' software so I can have a little play with them.

This is what is on the screen.

Thumbnails - 67 of 67 photo's selected

Transfer Queue - 67 photo's in the queue

When i press the 'start transfer' icon nothing happens????

Any Ideas???


I have selected my d90 as my primary destination and Nikon Transfer as my backup destination.

Would like to get this sorted so i could post a few up here this evening and be torn apart!!!:thumbs:

Agree, mine is set to a folder in "my docs"....
 
When I try to open the files in View NX and launch utility I cannot find the photos I have transfered. I shot them in JPEG and is only giving me a NEFF option to open files???
 
Where did you save the photo's from Nikon transfer... As with mine they save to the "nikon Transfer" folder in "My Pictures"...

Have a look in "My Pictures" folder or what ever you have it named - as it should be saved as a folder named with "Nikon Transfer"...

They are in there somewhere!

When Nikon Transfer has finished downloading the files from your camera, ViewNX should open automatically with the photos on show (there's an option for this in the preferences tab of Transfer).

If you think the photos have been transfered from your camera ok, try the file options on the left hand side of ViewNX, perhaps you need to click on the correct destination folder.

To help you out it would look like this...

Right under "preference" tick the last box (if not already ticked) and once transfer is made it should/will open up in view nx... (mine is ticked by the way)
 
I'm on Mac, but it saves them in my Pictures folder, then a subfolder named Nikon Transfer. I then drag them out too my preferred folder on my Desktop. :)
 
Thanks for your help everyone. It seems that the launch utilities only works for RAW files? im gonna give this a go tomorrow!
