Nikon DX 16mm lens?

Yep but which one for a DX Format camera? Is it really worth shelling out the best part of £600?

I know you say Nikon, but have you tried the Tokina 11-16 F2.8 Pro? It really is a stonking lens!

...but when you say DX 16mm, do you mean 10mm then?

Nikon only makes one DX that wide, and it's the fisheye 10.5mm f/2.8G ED.

Ignoring DX/FX then, the only 16mm Nikkor is another fish-eye, 16mm f/2.8D.

Maybe we shouldn't speak of mm's, but instead of desired FOV?

Is it really worth shelling out the best part of £600?
:D - but the 16mm f/2.8D is £1300!

The Tokina is indeed a fine lens, but with very limited range (and reverse focus...).
Will still vote for the Nikkor 12-24. Of course!

Focusring turns opposite way of Nikkors... takes some time to get used to.

Still irritates me, my "new" Sigma acts this way. :D

I'm looking at the f1.4 50mm on another thread. Definitely getting that lens. But wide is still lacking in my locker so I'm looking at options such as you've suggested.
