I bought a Nikon D80 and the 35mm 1.8 DX lens so I could get somewhat close to the feeling of using a film camera without using film now my film usage has hugely dropped off. I was playing around with the lens this morning, it made a nasty squeal when I focused and now it will not auto focus at all. Luckily the manual focus isnt by wire and the lens still stops down so it is now manual focus only! I was thinking of selling it but now as its essentially worthless I have nothing to lose by trying to replace the focus screen with a split prism and going fully old school! Now to Ali Express!
