Just a simple question really - what are they like?
My Camera is a D7000

Ideally a 35mm may be better but I've seen a few of these and I'm wondering what peoples' experience / opinions are of them.

Thanks,
Simon

Hi, The "E Series" were Nikons budget range of lenses.

Although they were not as robust as the Nikkor range of lenses they were all optically very good. The 50mm 1.8 should be fine on your D7000 giving you an effective focal length of 75mm.

Hope this helps.

Got an old 50mm f/1.8 E that I use with my D800 on occasion, can't fault it optically. I'd go with something with autofocus though if you plan on using it a lot.

Ah, I wasn't sure but having read further, I see it is a manual lens.

I have actually just bid on a sigma 28mm 1.8 so we'll see how that goes and if it's a no, then I might get the 50mm 1.8 d as there some on that old auction site.

I'm already becoming addicted to wanting more lenses.

Is that unhealthy? :-)
