Should I by Nikon original or a third party for my MB-D10?

Normally I would stick to OEM but with a price difference of £88 for the Nikon and £12.50 for a third party I'm not so quick to jump!

i use an unbranded one from ebay, but it lasts just as good as the Nikon and i seem to get the correct battery info from it.

just says, "Battery pack EN-EL3E 7.4V 1800mAh 13.3Wh".

i never put it directly in the camera, only the MB-D10

Is there a reason why you don't use rechargeable AA's. 8 Duracell 2450ma batteries are £9.00.
 
sorry, never noticed that it was 4A, just saw MB-D10.

i mainly use it for portrait studio work, so its more a comfort thing.

El4a purely for convenience of recharging. Lazy I know!
 
can you get a 3rd party EL4A? and have you factored in the specific charger for it? and the new door for it?
I looked at it earlier in the year and went down the duracell route which gives me the same outcome at a fraction of the price.

Phottix do an EN-EL4 conversion for the MB-D10 that comes complete with the new door and a built in charger. They were about £30 when I bought mine...

have looked further in to it and it appears you can get the same outcome (i.e. frame rate etc).
