Hi,

On my SB800 i use the built in bounce card all the time, however this only exists in landscape orientation so when the flash is on the camera side the option is gone.

How do people work around this ? - I could put some paper at the back but this looks a bit naff especially on a shoot for someone else.

tia,
Mike.

Have a look at Rogue Flashbenders. They might be a bit larger than you need but I believe they do a few different sizes.

Ideally you need a flash bracket to turn the flash right way up so to speak.

Flashbender or other strap-on bouncecard attached to the short side of the flash head.

Are you shooting indoors or outdoors (or both in which case mainly where are you having the problem), are you shooting moments, or posed/directed images where you are more able to position off-camera ?

That will determine what solutions would work for you.

Personally indoors I'd rather bounce off a wall / ceiling / white t-shirt than a 1"x3" piece of card.... but your answers to the above would help.
