Nikon full frame IR conversion

Anyone shooting Infrared on a converted Nikon full frame camera? I'm considering upgrading my colour body (D7100). which would probably necessitate upgrading my IR body (D90) to "save money on lenses" ahem....

I guess I'd probably be considering a D750 for my colour body, and look at something reasonably cheap second hand to convert to IR. I guess my options would be D6x0, D700 or D8x0 but I do feel that I want to future proof myself to some extent. The D90 has been great, but dunno if 12mp full frame would be limiting in the same way I'm finding it on my D90.

Anyone got any thoughts / recommendations / experience? I'm mostly shooting landscapes, though I do regularly dabble in other things. I really wish there was one body that did everything...!

I haven't dabbled in full frame IR despite using a full frame 'normal' Nikon. I use a Fuji S5 converted to 720nm. I was very picky about which lenses to use with an IR camera to avoid hot spots and ended up with a pretty cheap line up of 18-55 and an old manual 28mm 3.5 that's been AI converted. I've not looked into all the full frame options but if you're doing it solely for purpose of lens sharing, you may need to carefully consider which lenses will actually work well with IR as I would have to assume that some may cause issues.

Good point that I hadn't considered, though I know that my current full frame lenses (28-75 and 70-300) are fine on the D90, so I'd assume they'd be OK on a full frame camera too, so I could just restrict my lens usage... which begs the question, why bother upgrading the full frame for IR! Hmm...

I'd check they do work okay on full frame IR. They might be fine, but I've read of people having hotspots on full frame, when they had none on a crop body.
