Nikon full frame with 35mm f1.8dx

Ok with wide apertures and close focusing, major vignetting otherwise.

when i used an 18 to 55 mm dx lens on a nikon f65 it only started vignetting below ( wider than ) about 23 / 24 mm ,so i would say no problems

Better to ebay it and get a proper 35mm prime like the 35/2

That is because it is a zoom, the OP is referring to the 35mm DX prime, which as correctly pointed out above will vignette on a full frame body.

I've tried mine on my D700 and ended up buying the 35 f/2...

Here are a couple of shots at f2.8 and f2.0 on the D700, close focus and as you can see vignetting is minimal. I never kept the other shots where it was very intrusive, but in this sort of situation it is very usable indeed...

JPW - that vignetting is nice. A positive effect from what is seen as a problem. I like
