I'm going America in August and going to quite a few different places and was thinking about buying a Gps for my Nikon D3200. I was wondering if there was one in particular anyone could recommend? I don't really want to spend no more than £40. Also does it tell you the specific location or is it all just in latitude etc
Thanks in advance :)

Agree, the GP-1 is a bit slow, and left on eats batteries in four hours. I'm liking this Solmeta. Right up until I saw the price! Yes, a better alternative to a genuine GP-1. My one is a cheapo copy. And just as bad as the Nikon version. Just at a fraction if the cost.

It's around twice as much as the Nikon GP-1.. but if you buy the GP-1, you'll need to buy another two camera batteries :)

Depends how accurate you want it.

Cheapest way if you dont mind merging the data post holiday is to get an old Android Smartphone (any will do) you won't need a sim and just repurpose it as a datalogger.

Stick it in flight mode and it should see the day out. This is what I do and it's fine for the purpose.
