I recently bought a Nikon F90X from Ebay - really like it and now looking for a good compact zoom lens to complement the camera. Not looking for something new, so older models will be great. Anyone recommend anything to me?

The Nikkor 28-105 AF-D f/3.5-4.5 is a nice lens. The focal range is good for 35mm, it's good for both lanscapes and portraits plus it has macro capabilities.

It's discontinued now but MicroGblobe still list it new at £239 here. so that should give you a guide price when you look at 2nd hand examples.

The old 24-120mm AF-D's go for around 60 to 90 quid.

Personally I like it, but a lot of people don't for various reasons, which is why they're such a good bargain.

Another vote for the 28-105 AF-D - If you can still get one it is well worth it IMO
