Nikon Lens Questions

A friend of mine has a Nikon D3000 and wants to get a 50mm 1.8, am i right in thinking it will not autofocus on this body? Is there a list anywhere of lenses that will autofocus on this body?

I'm a bit clueless when it comes to Nikon. Cheers for the help in advance!

Look for the term "af-s" on Nikon lenses and "HSM" on Sigma
