be honest i might just end up keeping it as i doubt i'll get back what i paid.... but need a 70-300mm anyhow...

just have to work harder lol

The Sigma 50/1.4 is better then the Nikon 50/1.4G (AF-S) by most respects, but is bigger and more expensive.

this is a 'stop gap' lens until i get my SL then i will buy another bigger and better on e:)

just need something now for the work/practise im doing :) (its work but unpaid as i obviously need the practise :) )

i do know how to spell lens.... but for some reasons put e at the end :p

Hey Suze, glad you've decided which lens you want.

The simple answer to your question of where to buy your lens is... a camera shop! If there's an independent retailer near you, use them. They should have competitive pricing and building up a relationship with them should stand you in good stead for the future.

As an alternative, I've already mentioned when you asked this very question in the first thread about this that a good place to go would be Jessops if you buy through Quidco and get 6% cashback. This would be a net price of £271.66. There must be a Jessops somewhere near you and it would be good to build a relationship with them. Someone else pointed you in the direction of camerapricebuster, which has all the answers for camera kit pricing. Getting the best price is easy... deciding what you want is much harder!
