Looking at Camera Price Buster it seems a couple of Nikon long lenses have come down in price quite a bit whilst others are pretty stable. For in stance the Nikon 500 and 600 VR lenses havent moved much while the Nikon 200-400 VR II has come down quite a bit lately. Are th others likely to decrease before the dreaded VAT in Jan puts tem back to an all time high again or an we expect price to continue to drop for the more expensive type lenses.

... the Nikon 200-400 VR II has come down quite a bit lately.
Only because it's new. The Mk I version of this lens has been about £4400 for ages. The Mk II version was launched at £6000+, but all the must-have-at-any-price early-adopters have piled in now and it's finally starting to come down towards the price of the Mk I. There's very little difference between the two lenses so I'd expect this one to be heading for around £4500.
