A quick question on Macro lenses?

I love taking shots of flowers etc and was wondering which lenses is best for entering in to Macro photography?

Budget is upto £200 to be honest, I have a Nikon D3000

Many Thanks

Im only learning with macro myself but how about a Tamron 90mm macro if you are lucky you can get one 2nd hand for around £200. but if you want to take the whole flower not sure you need a full 1:1 macro so your money might be better spent on something you can use for other photography too

Macro lenses do not only have to be used for macro, they make great general lenses to.

I'd agree with the Tamron 90mm suggestion if you can get one for £200, they're considered to be about the best of the budget macro lenses and I love mine.

If budget is a prob give some consideration to reversing rings, extension tubes, or add-on lenses (Raynox, Canon D-series etc), these are generally far cheaper than a dedicated macro and will let you dip your toe.
