How much? Is it just me or is there a touch of chromatic abrasion around the circumference? Pretty hard designing a lens hood for it though

On a more serious note how do you protect that enormous front element? I guess you just have to be hyper careful, because a filter is out of the question, and a hood, even if it could be fitted, would defeat the point.

You don't protect it, you are just very, very careful!

It weighs in at more than 5 kilograms, sheesh! That's an absolutely massive front element though, you could probably park your car on it...
