Nikon or Sigma Landscape

I have no experience of any of them but I have been looking into it and the Sigma seems to be at least as good - Tokina 11-16 also gets good reviews.

noob butting in here... Sorry...

What specifically would you photograph with 10-20mm lens

Also do you really need f3.5 for landscape work with the sigma. Could save a bit more and get the f4-f5.6.

I have the sigma and I love it even though it doesn't get used all that often.

I've used both and the Nikon is slightly sharper, however (this is just my opinion) both those lens are too wide for landscapes. All you get is lots of small things far away, I very rarely go wider than 18-20mm and if its necessary take a couple or 3 shots and paste them in PP.
As has been said you don't need the faster lens as you'll be shooting at f8 - f11 or more.

Cheers

Andy
