Yes
hello, i currently have a nikon p90

ive only had it about two weeks and its prety good. but as i have already found, there are some functions hard to use on it as in manual focus, its buttons and not by hand.

im starting to think if i should have just paid up a bit more and went for the eos 450?

the thing that made me chose the nikon was it has built in 24 optical zoom, and to buy another lens etc for the canon would cost even more to do!

any advice pleasee??

What exactly is hard to use on it? Why is manual focus hard?

manual focus is done my an up and down button that you keep clicking, also the screen isnt amazing quality so its hard to tell how in focus it is.

and some times i feel its too much hard work to get a good shot if that makes sense, some times there great, some time i have to do quite a few and maybe get 2 out of 10 good ones depending what im shooting.

i just feel that the eos (and aa propper dslr as mine only has one foxed lens) would give me better shooting ability.

If you use the screen a lot with live view the 500D might be better than the 450D, much clearer and brighter screen.

Oh I get you now. You bought a compact and it doesn't do what you want...

If you want the flexibility of a DSLR then have a look at the 450d and the Nikon D3000
