Having used the Kingston head office repair centre a lot this year: It depends.
If they have the parts and aren't busy, it's about a week.
If they have the parts and are busy, it's around 2 weeks.
If they have to order something from Europe add another week, or two if it has to come from Japan.
That's pretty much what I've seen this year as a non NPS customer. These are all ball park but should give a general indication.
If you're wait is that long it would suggest a part is coming from Europe or Japan. If you want to know just call them, the lady who answered the phone at service was always very helpful in updating me.
Are you on the latest firmware version ?, in fact anything other than the original firmware version ?
There was a widespread fault with the initial firmware which caused AF to freeze, and the led by the card door to stay on, and it required at least a power-down or battery removal to free it up again. Had the problem with mine & it has been fine since.
