Have read various reviews of both but a bit undecided which one to go for I can pick up a new SB-900 today for £260 Vs. the cost of a new SB-700 at £250.00.

Hi

I just bought myself a new sb-700 after having the same argument with myself.

If you have read enough reviews you will realise that there isnt much in it!

I went with the 700 for the newer onboard tech, bundled filters and dome. I have only used it a little so far as we are not yet into wedding season but it seems fast and powerful. The build quality is also great!

The reasons you went for the 700 are the reasons I cannot make my mind up lol.

An alternative flash i got for myself over xmas:-

Has wireless ttl, is significantly more powerful than the 700 (actually more powerful than its own spec according to this review:-

and less than half the price. Has had plenty of good reviews. With the money saved i got myself some triggers

Ended up getting the SB700. Unfortunately however the excitement was ruined by me dropping my camera and damaging the lcd.
