Nikon SB400 Fault

Guys and Gals,

I'm looking for a bit of advice about my Nikon SB400 speedlight. I've had it for a while now and used it successfully on my D3100 and more recently on my D7000. However I went to use it yesterday and there was just nothing. I assumed it was the batteries but tried brand new batteries right out of the packet and still nothing.

I didn't have a chance to have a good look at it yesterday and plan to have a look tonight. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there are any settings that I might have inadvertently changed that could be preventing it from working? It's never been dropped and will be used on my D7000.

Check the battery door for signs of rust or corrosion. Also switch it on and press the battery door tight against the batteries.
