Nikon SB910 problem

I've got a SB910 today, brand new in the shop.

For some reason the zoom on the LCD is always have a M on top and stay at 11mm all the time.

I've turn the zoom manual setting off but reminds the same.

Nothing happen when i rotate the zoom ring on my lens. try it on both my D7000 and D300 and also tried it on both prime and zoom rings.

Nothing changes on the zoom.

This is my first nikon flash gun. My Metz 50 AF1 works fine tho.

Is ok, silly me. Is the white plastic diffuser that cause the problem. When the diffuser is on is always on wide focal but when is ok everything works fine.
