Hi, does anyone here know how to track a serial number of a camera body (D2X) to its year of manufacture?

I've only ever seen the lens database but if I'm right it was released in 2006 and discontinued in late 2008 but bear in mind a camera made in 06 may only have been sold in 09, a quick call to nikon would get you an exact date of manufacture
