I've had a look but can't find anything. Has anyone ever seen any statements from Nikon on movie mode? I find myself becoming increasingly frustrated that they seem unable to grasp what users want from movie mode and introduce the full range of options like 1080p with 60fps, 50fps,24,25 etc etc with switchable for PAL and NTSC for all. Even just matching Canon would be a start
It's like when they continued to stick with using the wrong codec and seemed to stubbornly persist with it until it was so obvious that they were falling far behind that only then did they use the H264 codec. There's not even a Nikon section on DV Info which speaks volumes considering they were the first to introduce it in a DSLR. Clearly no real plan or maybe too hard in which case go and headhunt a couple of Canon engineers
Anyway, I'd like to dovetail video and stills but fail to see why I need to buy Canon for video and Nikon for stills. I'm reluctant to switch to Canon but that may be the only option. I know a separate camcorder would be ideal but you need to spend real big bucks to get changeable lenses.
Quite like the Panasonic AF101 but again involves changing brand and running two systems as not convinced on their still cameras.
Anyone got any Nikon exec contact details so I can rant there?
