Nikon TC with 70-200 2.8VRii

Thanks both for that explanation, it was just a thought I had to try the TC2x on this lens as a stop gap for a bit of reach until I can buy a decent 70-300 zoom. I actually dont use the 105 much except for macro, as I had the 70-300 DX on my D7100, though i did use it a couple of times in lower light.
 
Seen a mint box 1.7 for £190 might give that a go
