Nikon Teleconverter for D5000

Hi,

I was looking into getting a teleconverter but having had a look around I fear that my kit is not compatible with any

I have a Nikon D5000 with a 70-300 VR lens which would be the main lens used with a converter.

Has anyone got any advice on which if any converter would work?

Sadly none of the NIkon ones will work. However have a look at the Kenko equivalent....they apparantly do work and some others on here use them. Sure someone will come along and tell exactly which ones do.
