Nikon to Canon converter

I have an old Nikon 600mm IF ED AIS MF, its a lovely thing, so sharp. However, I now have a 450D. I'm thinking about a nikon to canon converter (as Im not allowed to sell it!). Its not ideal for wildlife as its m mode and mf. Would you recommend I sell it and get a modern similar ish focal length or keep it? does anyone have any
suggestions/views please.

Oh don't I know it!! I would have got a slightly shorter L lens or something. They're often good value sh
