Nikon WT 4 Wireless transmitter

I am thinking of buying one of the above. What sort of range do they offer (transmitter/camera to computer?) Are they resonably simple to set up and are they compatible with windows 7?

take a look at camranger, might do what you want for a lot less money.

I'm currently looking at weye feye. It's looks to do the same as the Camranger but for even less, currently £160 on amazon. Not sure if there is an android/windows app though.

I've just pick up a new weye feye unit on ebay. I will update this thread once it's delivered and I have had a go with it on Friday.

Although it says Weye Feye is 'compatible with all DSLR's' the actual printed list of compatible cameras is very small. :thinking:

I understand that comment, thankfully I checked compatibility before bidding. The list is quite small but the d7000 I'm going to use it with is on there along with the d800 if I ever do upgrade. At £80 off ebay I thought I would give it a go especially considering Camranger is £270.

My weye Feye device has arrived off ebay. Initial thoughts are its smaller than I expected and the verco straps are going to be useful. I've had a quick play in the house and it seems like it could be what I want for a remote method of controlling the camera. I can change aperture, shutter, iso, ev comp, wb, live view on the ipad screen (lag seems ok too), focus via the ipad touch screen, view images (including RAWS) on ipad after taking them. My only gripe would be the aperture and shutter buttons are marked as Av and Tv but I can live with that! Once I've got out a used it a bit I may write a thread on here about my experiences. I got a few ideas of images I could get using this so I'm looking forward to using it.
