Just ordered the Z50 and 16-50mm from e-infin.com for £599.
Looks like a great wee camera for the money.
So tempting; it's an almost 'pocketable' cam. But I really, really don't need it. I bought the Z6 as a 'travel' cam ffs!
No, North Yorkshire, about an hours drive from home. Nearest village is Gunnerside in Swaledale.Cornwall?
I've got a lovely old mf 80-200mm f4 AIs Nikkor that got dropped, and the outer barrel is dented, making operation very difficult as it's too tight. It needs fixing. Always thought it was a nice quality lens that.
But the lens has IBIS....
I bought it as an "even more" pocketable camera lol.So tempting; it's an almost 'pocketable' cam. But I really, really don't need it. I bought the Z6 as a 'travel' cam ffs!
Snails view of Deansgate Manchester with Z6 and newly acquired 50mm s 1.8 after I stupidly sold it to @Doug
Received my pre-ordered 24-200 recently. I've very little time for photography at the moment so I have taken only a few shots. All handheld.
Of course the light is strong, fine for a lens with these apertures.
Initial impression is that i am pleased. It is lighter than my 24-120 on a D750 and is not much bigger than 24-70 F4. It's a great range for a travel lens.
It has a zoom lock but no vr on/off switch. Metal mount and comes with hood.
I know some like to pixel peep so I've done a few brick wall shots. All were handheld and had standard LR processing (sharpen 40).
To my eye some vignetting at 24mm.

No cropping to any image. VR on.
Thank you. I never thought of buying the 50-250 lens and using in on the Z7!The Z50 is a great camera for the money. I've been enjoying using it along side my Z6 for more reach too, but you'll find it gives no more reach than just cropping with your Z7.
Neither can I.Can’t wait to hear what you think of it!
A couple of new lenses being announced later this month apparently:
List of rumored Nikkor lenses to be announced together with the Nikon Z5: 24-50mm f/4-6.3, 50mm f/1.2, 14-24mm f/2.8 - Nikon Rumors
In addition to the Z5 mirrorless camera, Nikon is rumored to announce also several new Nikkor Z lenses later this month: Nikkor Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3: this will probably be the new kit lens for the upcoming Nikon Z5 camera – it will be a small, light, compact (almost like a pancake), and cheap...nikonrumors.com
Trying to work out how I feel about the 24-50 f/4-6.3.... if it’s as tiny as the 16-50 dx and as cheap, then I guess it could be something handy to keep in a back pocket when out with a longer lens?
The 50 1.2 could be the first lens to actually me want a Z!!!
It will be dirt cheap....I’m sure it’ll be nice and reasonably priced!
That sounds very odd, hope the screen’s not been put in upside downMy new Z6 and 24-70 arrived today. While im trying to work out how to extract the firmware update can anyone tell me why everything is upside down when looking through the viewfinder?
Off to read the manual

Never heard of it happening before but don’t see any reason why it can’t happen.is that possible? the image on the lcd is correct but the image in the viewfinder and all the indicators like aperature, iso, af etc are upside down. i tried to take a video of it but can't share here

Hopefully I’m wrong and it’s something simple. Have you tried a factory reset?Cheers Tony. Pi **ed off is an under statement
Suppose it is worth trying. It is only brand new out of the box this evening.Hopefully I’m wrong and it’s something simple. Have you tried a factory reset?
