Nikon Z* mirrorless

worst day since owning the camera , should have been a good day out yesterday but Mother Nature decided not to play ball .. left ours in the morning very nice clear blue skies ,warm so went out in t shirt got to anglesey and it was bloody freezing very strong cold wind blowing off the sea with a light mist got some hardly worth posting shots of a woodchat shrike and lots of terns in flight but a combination of grey birds against a grey sky has done nothing to enhance them might find a few with a bit of contrast . think my lad might have done better with my Olympus .. oh well you can't win them all

The TC is what most want, its been a huge hit with the 400 and 600 model, its a unique feature only available with Nikon, having to remove the lens, putting on a TC does not seem much but in wildlife photography it is a missed shot, even for sports photographers I feel will want that TC.
It would be fantastic if they could make the normal bolt on teleconverter switch in and out like the built in Teleconverter lenses. It would be great if you could turn any lens into a ‘built in teleconverter’ lens.

That would be game changing for sure and love your idea

This, while very nice to have, would be impossible to implement imo.
The current lenses with the in-built tc, is designed to project its image onto the sensor without moving it forwards or backwards, when the tc is engaged or disengaged.
All non in-built compatible tc lenses are designed to be mounted directly on the camera to project the image on the sensor.
The tc alters that projection when mounted on the lens, simply disengaging it leaves the lens far from the cameras mount and nothing to correct the lenses image projection onto the sensor. It would have to return to the cameras mount to project the image correctly.

Just acquired a viltrox 85mm f1.8 stm Ed if lens ,it’s a used one in mint condition looks and feels brand new ,very impressed with the build and I.q ,all I’ve got to do now is find some targets for it ..but slowly building up my native Z mount collection/ selection

I really like SmallRig products. I have their base grips on all my recent Nikon and Fuji cameras. I also have a pair of their torch shaped and sized LED lights.
