Yes
Turned on the 610 this morning to be greeted by the "Err" on the rear display, will not take a shot, no focus confirmation. Upon pressing shutter button it sounds like the mirror raises and a shot is taken but no image is displayed. Tried changing lenses and taking out the battery , but no luck yet.

Any ideas?

Contacts witht the lens. Take the lens off then re-attach it. Clean contacts

Tried that and still no luck.

Factory reset? (Two green buttons simultaneously for 3 secs)

Hi Steve, It's just a long shot as I don't have a 610. But I had a similar thing on a D800 and it ended up that the manual/auto focus switches ie lens & body were not set to the same. Could it also be if your using a G or D lens that the aperture is not set to the minimum mark and locked. Might be worth a checking.

George.

Thanks George, checked that and it didn't seem to make a difference, then moved the AF switch on the body from AF to Manual a few times and the error has stopped. Weird

Seems fine now. Thank you for the helpful suggestions gentlemen, have a good weekend.(y)

They're not green but marked with green dots

Thanks Barry, I did find them eventually, looks like an error with the AF/M switch on the body, fine for now.
