Thinking about purchasing one of these with some left over euros from holiday. Anybody ever owned/used one?

What are peoples thoughts? They seem good value for money.:naughty:

Have you seen Flash's excellent offering as an alternative...

Foregive me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the FITP flashgun is dedicated wheras the nissin is - it got a pretty good writeup in practical photography mind.

Just bought it and I have got to say its great. Mine cost me £64 from here and its fantastic. Easy worth the price tag, good build on it, tilt and swivel and its pretty powerful.

However I can't see me staying with one and would move to the ex range in the future. Buts for a cheaper alternative its great and cant say a bad thing about it.

I've handled the Nissin Di622 before. It feels plasticky. Though it will work with Canon's ETTL, I've read on the net they can't be triggered off camera wirelessly. I'm talking about using cheap triggers like the new RF-602. Do some googling first before buying.

Got one, great as an on camera flash, though it wont work with a wireless trigger. No problems I thought, I'll use my on camera flash to trigger it in slave......nah slave function stopped working.....sent back to get fixed ( only had it 4 weeks ) ..repairers had it close to four weeks. Came back fixed though. I now owm a Jessops 360AFDN as well for the of camera flash work as it works with radio wireless triggers and i have to say is better as a slave flah even with the nissin 's new firm ware update. Great on camera flash though.

excellent cheap little flash gun, very good on nikon's but on the canon's from the few i've played with find it needs just a touch more power which can be set on the flash itself, but other then that superb. if you want to run flashguns as slaves off camera look at the 466 (i think) as it has a photocell built in
