No bounceback!

With my emails from home. Became suspicious when someone I've been trying to conatct didnt reply,turned out Id go this email wrong but none have bounced back! Tried it with some bizarre word/letter combos today and again no bouncebacks! Not a major problem but still unusual?
 
That would depend on how the receiving domain for the email is set up.

If they have a catch all email address set up then anything sent to that domain would go through and you would not get a bounce back - also it can be set to delete all mail that is not sent to a specific email address, again you would receive no bounce back
 
what keith said, depends how they route their mail at the recipient end.

i used to have a simple pop program that caught everything then filters it out to clients based on some addresses and its own POP/SMTP server.

What I read from your OP is you tried it with some bizarre word/letter combos but still sent it to your friend, therefore what I said still stands.

He wasnt a friend-irrelevant I know-and no I didnt send it to the person.

neil g My email is oUtlook express and I have set it up to do anything other than send and recieve ;)

Ive just sent to the initial wrong email from my googlemail account and it bounced back so I think that answers the "catch all" issue. ;)
