No infinity focus on m42 lens with sony nex 6.

Hi as per the title, i got a 135mm m42 vivitar lens for my sony nex 6. I got an adapter from ebay. Lens works great, but the barel stops before it reaches focus at infinity.
Any idea how to fix this?

Get a better adapter! If the lens will not achieve infinity focus, the adaptor is keeping the lens a little too far from the sensor. I have never had an old lens that could not achieve infinity in its own mount.

Later m42 uses extra pins and levers for open apature metering, the later SpotF and ES. Hence the old use of ES Mount as a term for m42 screw. Make sure there is no step under the thread on the adapter.
Unless the lens is just f***** of course!
