Noise reduction?

Personally I would turn off all the in camera noise reduction and take care of any noise in post processing.
 
ok cool, thats what i thought as it makes the camera a bit slower!!
 
On my D70, I keep the long exposure NR turned off since it takes a 2nd shot without opening the shutter to figure out which pixels are noisy then subtracts the noise from the actual photo. I used to use Noiseware Community Edition to reduce the noise but have changed computer so need to find it again.
