I know, his nose is in focus and not his eyes, but in my defence even managing to get him to stop still and look in my direction for more than a split second is more than an achievement believe me!lol!

Technically it's pretty much all wrong but what a lovely looking chap he is!

I tried for the running shot but in a dark pub and night, really not going to happen!lol!

Ha, get him to run to the bar and get you a pint.
Sorry, that was a bit vague. As you've already stated, you know the point of focus is wrong but the background is way too busy and the direct flash has given him laser eyes.
Has that already been cropped or is it as taken?
You could probably sort out some of the background with a bit of cropping and editing and should be able to do something about his eyes too.
Would love to see some daylight shots of him, I've got a real soft spot for sighthounds and lurchers.
