With wall to wall sunshine predicted for the whole day I thought a trip to the NYMR was called for, so here's three shots that I got.

First is "Sir Nigel Gresley" still in wartime black livery at Goathland summit where the line crosses the Lyke Wake Walk.

N.Y.M.R., 13/10/22.

Second is Standard Class 4 struggling up the steep incline at Thomason Foss.

N.Y.M.R., 13/10/22.

Third is 9F No. 92134 at the delightfully named Fen Bog near Goathland summit, sunset was imminent.

N.Y.M.R., 13/10/22.

All great but if picking one my pick would be No.2 :D

Thanks for your comments, always appreciated and I was certainly blessed weather wise which certainly helps.
I'm new to the Nikon Z6 and really enjoying it so far.

Lovely set,Stuart..as ever. I really like the A4's but my vote goes to number 2.

Would you believe it ? Nothing through here right through to October next year, as per Railway Herald. Tomorrow's tour has been cancelled. Where have they all gone ?

Am I right in thinking this is the line used in the Heartbeat tv series. Been trying to get up to Yorkshire for years but never have the time. Great shots, two is my fav.
