Northern Lights

I hung about for about an hour and a half, and then called it a night. Walked back to the car, took off hat and glove, then I heard people reacting to the lights, I looked up and seen the light show just kicking off. What a show it was too, this is the first time I've seen the lights move and dance about the sky. Totally amazing.

Nice one Brian. I was gonna head around to Dunluce as well, but didn't bother in the end. Seems the best show was from Dunluce eastwards.

That was worth waiting for! They really manage to convey a sense of the movement. Having never seen the aurora I can only envy those who have. Great location too.

Yes it was a cracker show. I'm hoping to do the lights at Giants causeway and Mussenden next.

Yes. I got my best aurora picture at Mussenden on 17th March and a very good one at GC back in October. Then again, last year there was word about a show one night and I arrived at Ballintoy at 9pm and the car park was stuffed! It took me 20 minutes to get a parking space... hundreds of photographers. There were just 3 of us left at 5.45am... Needless to say that the aurora didn't show!.. Typical!

Nice shots indeed. Another chance this evening by the sounds of things, weather depending of course. I have caught it at Dunluce once before and if I think there is a chance of a break in the clouds tonight I might head to Mussenden Temple.
