This is why I wouldn't want to do a wedding
Took my wife, niece, her toddler (my god son) and her mum out today to the park because she wanted some really nice pictures.
I spent time on the preparation, charging up the batteries on the D200, memory card with plenty of space, packed up the computrekker bag (you can get a reflector in the laptop slot !) and cleaned the lenses etc. ISO set to 100 (nice bright day), WB set etc etc..... Everything tested. Right its really sunny I'll stick the CPL on too.
When I got there the light was really nice. I made sure that I took pictures with the sun at the right place and made good use of the reflector etc etc......
DOH - When I got there I had forgotten about the CPL completely which basically I didn't need because I was taking pictures away from the sun.
The LCD screen doesn't really help too much as all the pictures looked fine BUT due to the filter being on the speed of the lens reduced and I ended up with a shutter speed of 1/160th and due to young David being hyper active I couldn't use a tripod so I had to run around with the camera and 18-200.....
Result - lots of lovely SLIGHTLY blurred images. I was using bracketing too so I have the under and over exposed shots but luck wasn't on my side so the best pictures are too dark or too bright
Its a good job I took the nifty fifty with me too
..... no CPL and MUCH quicker, at least I got a few nice shots. My niece is really happy with the pictures but I am not but at least I can take them back to the park and do the pictures again, you can't do that with a wedding!!
You pros that do weddings deserve the money, my nerves wouldn't handle it.
