hello all....

i currently have the nikon d60 and really like and enjoy it but cant hlp and feel i should saved a little more and got the d90.... now the time has come and could possibly get the d90 but body only.

i keep thinking i should just buy it but then i keep thinking i should master the d60 first!

just wondered about peoples opinions

What in particular makes you want the D90? Is it just because it is "better" or do you find yourself hampered in some way by the features (or lack thereof) of the D60?

i like the idea of the live view and some of the better features but also i feel a little restricted with lens choice at the moment with the d60.

i like the d60 and cant complain with the shots i get and would not sell it. just cant help and think should i master it and then move on or am i aiming to high to soon

D60 is a fine little camera, however it does have its limitations (crappy ISO over 400 and no onboard AF motor).

If you feel that you are technically being held back by the D60 then upgrade, if its not functioning the way you want upgrade, but I wouldn't upgrade if you are happy with it.

I'd go either D300s or D90 if you are just looking for a step up. D700 + if looking at pro.

im not looking down the pro route just for pleasure....

like i said... i like the d60 and wouldnt sell it. plus every raves round the d90, just not sure

I've got a D90 and to be perfectly honest I don't really use Live-View. Main reason I got the D90 was due to the AF motor in the body. I agree with Harvey_nikon that pics taken in higher ISO are impressive, but the D60 is quite a capable piece of equipment.

there are rumours of a D90 replacement model coming up soon... so might be worth waiting for a while and pick up a D90 body cheaper once the replacement is official and released...

the af motor in the body is also a big bonus as i said, little restricted with lens for d60.... been reading round a little and i dont think the d90 price will drop very much.

the d60 price hasnt dropped much at all.
