Yes eyes are supposed to be in focus but in macro without stacking its not possible.

Least in this case the eyes on the wings are in focus.

Eh? Not possible? Not possible in this case while still getting the wings in focus? In any case, what aperture were you using?

Ok possible but not with the background I wanted and I really did only want to have the wings sharp in this case. Would have needed to have a nd filter on the lens to keep aperture low
