So I have the Canon 50mm f/1.8 and have owned it for about a year now. In that time I have found myself more frequently leaving it behind because it's a tad frustrating to compose with. I use a Canon 7D so obviously the 50mm focal range because some thing like 80mm - great for portraits, not so much general use! I'm looking for a prime for general use because I know how sharp they can be and how much light they let in! So is it worth me trading in my 50mm for a 30mm or a 35mm - and if so, which model? Is the 35mm f/1.4L really that good (to justify the price tag)? Let me know!
Cheers,
Eddy
