Nothin "nifty" about this price!

Flicking through the wifes "Littlewoods" catalogue tonight, it begs belief why anyone would pay that amount of money for this lens!

Yeh, bit expensive to say the least! Still it IS a buy-now-pay-later catalogue and you ALWAYS get over the top prices.

Just noticed the 55-250mm IS for 300 quid! Should be around 1/2 that!

yowzers! and there is a 3 week wait for delivery too!

littlewoods is so expensive because the cost of the item includes the cost of the credit, you can buy now and pay 50p a week for the next 10 years, "interest free"... it's for "high risk" people who can't get a credit card.

I'd be horrified if I spent £200 on my nice new lens, it turns up in the post, open it up and feel it and the AF-MF switch feels like it will snap off on every use.

It does take great images though and I love it - especially as mine was a quarter of the price of this one

The other thing is this type of retail shop often has half price sales or vouchers so I doubt if anyone pays the full price. If they do they get another half price voucher and it's all extra profit
