A couple of close-ups I grabbed Friday whilst at work, waiting for a customer to come out. Day was overcast, but I was pleased with these shots, nothing special in the way of camera/lens, D5000/18-70mm Nikon. The rose is cropped a little, the peonie is pretty well full frame.

I love the colours and capture in #2 - Could have benefited from not clipping the outside petals, but I accept that the middle is the real focal point.

Thank You Swag,

Initially the pictures were for my own reference, it was the colours of the Peonie, so delicate, and I dont normally like blouse peonies!:LOL: Then I spied the rose, and a couple of dozen shots later . . . ;) As I realised how close the lens was getting in . . . Was not 100% sure of the focus that close, until I got home on the computer.
