Rummaging through an old accessory case I came across this in a jiffy bag;

Was initially designed to clamp to an enlarger lens in the darkroom, but many people like the effect on a camera lens - kind of a controllable version of the Vaseline smeared on a filter trick for soft focus. IIRC I wasn't too impressed with it on the camera lens, but it was great in the darkroom. As can be seen from the picture mine still has the three original clamping screws, which are bolted onto an filter ring with no glass - even got the original instructions.

You can still buy them from Pro Studio Supply, based in the wonderfully named Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, USA.

Perhaps its just me, but I think it looks like a Medieval torture device for Men! Oh er misses:nuts:



(And YES, in all seriousness I have seen one before. I think there are cheaper and better ways of doing it than one of these).
