An interesting comparison. 'Then' has such character wheras 'now' is bleak and souless.
Excellent photograph by the way, great depth of field and lovely tones.
Also feeling hungry after noticing the Chip Shop!

sadly , patricroft to eccles along Liverpool Road used to be the life and soul of the area ,now gone ! not a nice place,
can recommend meat and potato pie chips peas and gravy if your ever passing, but don't hang about :(
