Nuthatches taken today from a bitterly cold Hide. Stayed until my coffee ran out then retreated back to the warmth of the car and home.

I think braving the cold was well worth it! love the second one especially
 
I admire your devotion Gordon, and it was worth it, 2 great nutty shots, no critique at all, just like them (y)
 
Fab shots, I particularly love the line the beak and stripe creates in the second one.

Beautiful. I was watching a couple of these last Friday and they are stunning birds. Don't have the lens to catch them though.

As for the weather, time for more layers, having said that it is always colder in the hides ... however it usually means that the light is good :D
