Unfortunately after having to get rid of ALL of my camera gear over a year ago, ive decided its time to get back into the saddle. Macro photography was my biggest subject but until i can raise funds for another dslr and dedicated macro, ive decided on an alternative until then.

Ive managed to pick up a mint HS10 WITH a DCR-250 raynox for £110. Im currently trying to find a light source. I used to use a Yongnuo YN-460II for macro work. Ive read that a YN-460II works on the HS10 but how can i use it off camera?? With my old Sony A700, i used a Sony TTL cord.......is there a cord that'll work with the HS10???????

Does it have a regular hotshoe on the camera? A set of cheap triggers and manual mode might be the answer...

EDIT: just seen a pic of one and the hitshoe looks standard.... Triggers will work I'm pretty sure of it.

Thanks Pat.

Yes it has the regular hotshoe. Ive always had Sony dslr's which is a completely different hotshoe.

Ive got a friend visiting tomorrow who has a 'Meike mk-14 macro ring flash' on his HS10.....may have to give that a whirl.
