Afternoon all,

Off to the Fjords for 7 nights on a cruise tomorrow and i'm not sure what to take with me. Usually, as we fly i'm restricted by weight but this time there is no weight limit! I was thinking of taking my 50mm f1.8 and my 18-200 as a walk around. I don't think there will be any need for my Sigma 100-300 although it is super sharp and the 150mm f2.8 macro.

What do you think?

Oooh, that's something I'd like to do :D I fancy a cruise around the Fjords and maybe see the northern lights too. I hope you enjoy :D

I think I'd want to take something reasonably wide with a wide aperture to keep the noise down in low light shots. Your 18-200mm will be f3.5 at the wide end? Something like that... that may be a wide enough aperture to keep the noise down and the shutter speed up (are you shooting handheld or with a tripod?) but if there's a chance that a wide lens with a wide aperture would be useful I think I'd want one with me on what may be a once in a lifetime or at least once in a blue moon trip :D

Yeah, it's f3.5 @ 18mm. I don't think that I will take a tripod... its just another thing to carry around.
