Here it is the official thread lay down the red carpet.

Took some sample photos which might be helpful for people at optical zoom in following order20,25,30 At each zoom level in order did ISO 100,200,400,800,1600

so example zoom 20 order was ISO 100,200,400,800,1600.

The first batch are out of camera and the second batch are all raw files (starting at 477) following the same pattern.

They were all shot outside , handheld. (not the great composition i know)

There is a download button to download them all in a batch at the top (feel free to do what you want with them).

  • Finding the camera very easy to take out and about
  • View finder useful for framing in bright conditions despite it being small
  • The app is good for taking photos of yourself with others (who am i kidding selfies) and remote control
  • The 30X zoom really does come in handy
  • Video is amazing quality

Screen protectors fit the screen perfect (note the screen is not exactly 3 inch and these account for this)

Overall, amazing. Love the fact that I get photos sent to my phone as I shoot and the range / lens is great! Works great up to ISO800 with ISO1600 being useable too. The RAW's are great and fits into your pocket!

really great photos!!!! can not wait until i can take ones as good as this will have to keep practicing, nice to see what the camera is capable of with some experience

on another note any ideas on how to clean the lens , i have got a few specks on it from waves on the beach which wont come off with a blower :(
 
took these on holiday first one is original and second with some preset in lightroom . I am trying to set up a preset which will get the best out of the RAW files on export as i have very little time to edit so would be very interest to see which photo people prefer and if they have any presets which are recommend for this camera

Tone - Exposure: 0, Contrast: 0
Highlights: -20, Shadows: +20, Whites: +10, Blacks: -20

Presence - Clarity: +40, Vibrance: +40, Saturation: 0

Sharpening - Amount: 70, Radius: 1.5, Detail: 10, Masking: 20

Noise Reduction - Luminance: 30, Detail: 80, Contrast: 0
Color: 25, Detail: 50, Smoothness: 50

Everything else is default.

Thanks for your feedback appreciated looks like it is time to learn how to set this up on export in lightroom then !

think the second one looks best to, hopefully the settings will work on people to ?

I wouldn't be adding that much clarity to people if any.

I also wouldn't set it as an export setting because if it doesn't suit the picture then it'll ruin it unless you tell it not to. Set it as a preset that you apply with one click as you import it into the develop module within Lr.

One preset fits all don't really work imo. If you're short on PP time then why not set the camera up to shoot JPEG with your settings added into the camera. Take a few test shots with different settings to sharpness, contrast, saturation etc etc and see if one is preferable to you.

Clarity can really make an image jump out of the screen... when used selectively.

Most of the time, you can't add it to the whole image - it needs to be done with the adjustment brush.

Most of my images above has had this technique applied to them.
 
I bought a Lumix TZ60 this weekend to replace my Sony RX100 II (sold) which I just couldn't feel comfortable with in spite of its very high quality.

I immediately feel comfortable with it and much prefer its ergonomics and interface. Otherwise I use a Canon DSLR and telephoto L lenses.

The only problem so far is that Apple doesn't support this camera and I prefer to shoot RAW.
