I've just realised I've deleted one of my favourite photographs... Ran a few un-delete type utilities to try and get it back but it was done about a week ago and disk space has probably been overwritten. :'(

It was a photograph was of an older man bottle feeding his grandson at the christmas markets with both of them wrapped up against the cold. Spent about an hour practising PP techniques of Dodge/burn getting a really nice finish as well so it's doubly heartbreaking :shake: Please remember to back up your files and be careful when running HDDs in parallel!

Time for a wee dram of whisky to see it off...

I really must backup my phots soon. I have a hard drive in my system that has nothing on it that I should really use. Although it's 750gb vs an external 320gb, not sure which will be more appropriate.
 
Know how you feel, I remember one year backing up all my files to a second hard disk, in order to reformat the original drive. Somehow the PC managed to format bot hdrives and give me one giant partition spanned across both HDDs! I was gutted, lost so many files.
 
Thanks for the words of advice everyone, ended up with a glass of wine rather than whisky last night ;)

I'll be making sure I'm even more strict with how I back things up in future!
